DESCRIPTION:Originally created in memory of Danny Agnolin\, Billy Handsor\, and Phil “Gov” Darlington\, the Windsor Memorial Pool Tournament is in its 4th year! \nIn Memory of: Blaine MacNeil & Greg Farnham. \nThe event “cues” off at 10 AM on Saturday the 18th with play expected all day Saturday and into Sunday. 32 teams of 3 players each will face off in a double elimination style tournament\, with winners walking away with a grand prize. \nAdditional fundraising will be happening throughout the day Saturday: door prize raffle\, 50/50\, and a pasta dinner fundraiser! Proceeds support the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation as well as Hospice of Windsor. \nJoin us at Brews and Cues on Saturday the 18th and come out for a great time for a great cause!! \n

DESCRIPTION:On Sunday\, May 29th we will celebrate our Ambassadors – their stories\, their friends\, their families\, their strength. \nEach of our Ambassadors\, along with their family and friends\, will attend a beautiful closed ceremony full of music and powerful speakers. They will each be presented with a padlock and will attach theirs to our Lock Out Cancer wall\, to commemorate their dedication to locking out cancer. \n \nThis ceremony is a time to celebrate\, reflect and empower women who are fighting cancer in our community. At this ceremony\, there will be a few quick notes from Houida Kassem and some of our ambassadors. For the remainder of the time\, we invite you to enjoy some live music and refreshments\, and embrace the positive vibes as many lock out cancer. \n \nOur Ambassadors this year are Dana DiCarlo Stevens\, Stephanie Giacalone\, Karma Jasey\, Ashley Sarros\, and Brooke Spitse. DESCRIPTION:MEDIA EVENT ONLY \nWe invite you\, members of the media community\, to attend our closed-door kickoff event to be held April 28\, 2022 at 11am. Each of our ambassadors will share their stories\, and the silver layered key charm necklace adorned with Swarovski Crystals will be unveiled. \nIn 2021\, Windsor Regional Cancer Centre saw 1\,280 women newly diagnosed with cancer. In that same timeframe\, women accounted for over 32 thousand visits to the Windsor Cancer Centre for treatment and care. \nThe Lock Out Cancer Campaign supports cancer awareness\, research and treatment for women living in our region. \n“100% of funds raised from our Lock Out Cancer campaign will remain local. This campaign funds initiatives that reduce wait times\, provides added comfort\, and helps keep more patients close to home while receiving treatment.”\, said Houida Kassem\, Executive Director of the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.
