It’s life-saving care made possible because of you. This year, your support of our Show Us Your Brave campaign raised $376,111 through more than 2,100 contributions.
Inspired by this incredible display of courage and generosity, Mr. John Viecelli made a personal gift that lifted the campaign to an astounding $500,000. His contribution, sparked by your efforts, shows how one act of giving can amplify the impact of thousands.
Because of your commitment, patients in our community now have access to more advanced treatments, including a new Stem Cell Transplant program at the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre. For families, this means life saving care delivered close to home, surrounded by the people they love.
But the need doesn’t end here. This November, Grow On Windsor returns and we need you. Rally your friends, coworkers, and family. Form a team, take on a challenge, and fuel cancer care close to home. Together, you are building hope for today and tomorrow.

Spotlight on Fundraisers
Don lost his wife of 52 years to cancer in 2024. They had planned to move into Seasons Retirement Home together, but Don faced this new chapter alone, carrying the weight of his loss. When the Show Us Your Brave campaign was announced, Don wanted to honour his wife and support the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, where she had received care for 28 months. When his doctor advised against rappelling 170 feet off the CIBC building, three team members from the retirement home stepped in to take on the challenge for him. Touched by their courage, Don called them his Angels.
With the incredible support of their community, the team raised over $12,000. On Brave Day, a bus full of seniors arrived to cheer for Don and his Angels, celebrate his wife’s memory, and stand in solidarity with those living with cancer. Their love and encouragement gave Don a renewed sense of connection, purpose, and hope. It was a moving reminder of the extraordinary impact a community can have when it comes together in bravery and compassion.

Growing the Future of Local Cancer Care
Now that the 4th Radiation Bunker is fully operational, we need to raise funds to upgrade the original three radiation bunkers. These upgrades will bring in the latest technology to deliver faster, more precise, and more personalized radiation treatments. This November, join Grow On Windsor and raise funds to help ensure patients receive the cutting-edge care they need, when they need it most.
Grow On Windsor is a signature campaign, where participants raise awareness and funds for local cancer care by growing facial hair, teaming up, and taking part in creative fundraising activities. Rally your friends, family, and coworkers to create a team, and throughout November, use fun and creative ways to raise funds.
