Grow On Windsor Campaign to Raise Funds for Radiation Treatment Upgrades
Windsor, ON — The Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation officially kicked off its annual Grow On Windsor campaign, rallying our entire community to raise funds to support world-class cancer care close to home. Grow On Windsor has always been more than just growing facial hair. It’s about growing together as teams, as individuals and as a community. It’s about raising funds for vital tools, technology, and care that our community depends on.
Now that the fourth Radiation Bunker is fully operational, we need to raise funds to upgrade the original three radiation bunkers. These advancements will bring in the latest technology to deliver faster, more precise, and more personalized radiation treatments.
With patient volumes continuing to grow, these upgrades will allow the Windsor Regional Cancer Program to meet the demand, reduce wait times, and ensure patients receive the cutting-edge care they need, when they need it most.
Houida Kassem, Executive Director of the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation, emphasized the significance of launching their November fundraising campaign. “Today marks the beginning of a campaign devoted to helping patients receive treatment, care, and healing close to home,” said Kassem. “It’s your support that makes it possible.”
The campaign launch drew enthusiastic support from local champions including Ground Effects, The Windsor Spitfires, Fortis Group, Rosati Group, RE/MAX, and Royal LePage Binder Real Estate, The Di Meo Real Estate Team. These organizations have committed to forming fundraising teams and are challenging others to do the same.

Grow On Windsor is a signature campaign of the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation that takes place each November. Launched in 2014, men from our community participate by disregarding their shaving regimen, and growing a beard to raise funds and awareness for local cancer care. While we love the beards, Grow On Windsor is also an opportunity for anyone to team up and raise funds through friendly competition and month long promotions.
