Crews N Brews Raises over $77,000 for Grow On Windsor
Windsor, ON – Community gyms and organizations came together to row against cancer on the concourse of the WFCU centre on Sunday, December 4th. Over twenty relay teams competed, and over $77,000 was raised for the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation’s Grow On Windsor campaign. Huge thank you to CTV News, AM800, The Windsor Star, and Blackburn Radio for covering this incredibly moving event. Local cancer warriors spoke at the opening ceremony, and even participated in the rowing relay.
Crews N Brews The Final Pull would not have come to life without the efforts of event organizers Tony Smith, Owner, The Garage Gym and Greg Grondin, Co-Owner, GL Heritage Brewing. This event would not have been possible without the dedication of our event sponsors, The Windsor Spitfires and HQ Nutrition.
Huge thank you to the following gyms and organizations that entered teams for Crews N Brews The Final Pull: The Garage Gym, Shred Shop, Storm City, Windsor CrossFit, Evolution Intensity Training, Workhorse Fitness, and Windsor Police Service.
Special thanks to our incredible volunteers, who made the event run so smoothly and made sure participants were well cared for. Finally to our Cancer Warriors and this incredible community we call home. You rallied together to support one another, and support men living with cancer in our region. You are the reason this event was so successful.
