Lock Out Cancer Campaign Ceremony Returns In Person

WINDSOR, ON.  The grand finale of our Lock Out Cancer campaign takes place this Sunday, May 29th, at 1pm.  Five Ambassadors, alongside family and friends, will gather for a moving ceremony that will see each Ambassador lock their ceremonial lock on the healing garden wall.  The ceremony will take place in a tented outdoor setting just outside the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre doors, at the southwest corner of the Windsor Regional Hospital – Met Campus property.

“We are stronger together.  This ceremony is a powerful showing of the continued efforts to Lock Out Cancer.” Says Houida Kassem, Executive Director of the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.  This year’s Lock Out Cancer Campaign Ceremony marks its in-person return after two years.

Ashley Sarros, one of this year’s Ambassadors, will address the crowd of family, friends, and distinguished guests.  Four other Ambassadors include Dana Stevens, Stephanie Giacalone, Karma Jasey, and Brooke Spitse will also be in attendance.

We invite you, members of our local media, to attend this powerful event.  The Lock Out Cancer Campaign Ceremony humanizes the very reason this campaign, and the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation, exists.

About Lock Out Cancer
Lock Out Cancer is a fundraising campaign of the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation. During the month of May, support cancer awareness, research and treatment for women living in our region by purchasing your own Lock Out Cancer padlock, Lock Out Cancer Swarovski® Crystal jewelry or by becoming a sponsor. Through generous Sponsors and the sale of our padlocks and jewelry, the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation is able to fund much needed equipment and tools for the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.

About the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation (WCCF)
The WCCF serves as the official fundraising arm for the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre, fulfilling requests of the Windsor Regional Cancer Program. These requests include the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment, patient amenities, and initiatives, such as the Patient Assistance Fund, and our Seeds4Hope program which supports excellent local cancer research. Thanks to tremendous community support, the WCCF has raised over $30 million to date!
