Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation receives a grant of $5,000 from the Inspiration 100™ Association

WINDSOR, ON /  January 11, 2021

WINDSOR CANCER CENTRE FOUNDATION (WCCF) received a grant for $5,000 from the Inspiration 100™ Association fund held at WindsorEssex Community Foundation. These funds will be used to support the Patient Assistance Fund (PAF).

To date, Inspiration 100™ has welcomed 100 local community philanthropists into the Association and within the past four years alone, has granted a total of $145,000 to 23 local charities within Windsor-Essex. With the fund reaching a million within five years, the Association will continue to award grants to more local charities, ensuring long-term impact and support of Windsor-Essex.

“We are honoured to be one of the local organizations to receive this grant. At a time when things are so uncertain, we can say with certainty that these funds will support financial needs of our patients”, says Houida Kassem, Executive Director, WCCF. A cancer diagnosis can bring with it many uncertainties and unexpected expenses. To alleviate some of those burdens, the WCCF created a fund to assist patients at a time when it is needed most. The PAF is available for emergency use when all other forms of financial assistance are not available. To date, the WCCF has provided over $650,000 in support of over 1000 patients.
