Lisa Shulman
Meet Lisa Shulman
Some say it takes real bravery to be vulnerable in life’s toughest moments, but that’s just who Lisa Shulman is to her core.
To her, perseverance is more important than privacy. Even when she was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.
Lisa is a true testament to ‘We’re all in this together’, openly sharing details of her diagnosis and treatment to family, friends, and coworkers in real time.
Throughout her experience, Lisa always looked ahead: Focus on the Comeback, not the Setback.

Listen To Your Intuition
It was April of 2023, Lisa had an intuition that something was wrong with her body. She began experiencing sharp electric type pains in her breast, along with a nagging cough and skin changes.
Lisa knew that something was off.
On May 9, 2024 Lisa received her diagnosis; Stage One Breast Cancer. Estrogen + Progesterone positive, her 2 negative. Shortly after her diagnosis, Lisa began her treatment plan. She met with Dr. Leibman who preformed a lumpectomy on June 7th. Two weeks later her pathology indicated that her mass had clear margins, meaning there were no cancer cells remaining at the edge from where the tissue was removed during surgery. The size of the mass was 1cm, and there was no lymph node involvement.
Surgery was a success, although Lisa was still not out of the woods. She then underwent 19 rounds of radiation.
Lisa will continue on Tamoxifen hormonal therapy for ten years.
ringing the gong
“Although the treatments are complete, the healing never stops.”
On October 10th, 2024, Lisa rang the gong in celebration of being ‘cancer free’. Today Lisa feels good and appreciates each day. She says, “Your health is wealth, and this is just a bump in the road of life”.
She actively gets checked and keeps a healthy mindset, and reminds us all that ‘Although the treatments are complete, the healing never stops.’
