Lisa Neumann’s Memory Lives On Through Generous Donation Supporting Local Cancer Patients

Windsor ON – Lisa Neumann always led with love; in her family, and within her community. Lisa and Reiner Neumann enjoyed a loving marriage for 33 years. As a mother, Lisa was devoted to not only her three sons, Christopher, Brian, and Stephen, but also their groups of friends. Everyone that stepped into the Neumann home adoringly referred to Lisa as ‘Mom’. Lisa moved through life with a relentless positivity, and fiercely loved her faith, and her community.

She cared. Deeply.

After a brave battle with cancer, Lisa Neumann passed away December 11, 2021. Her family, friends, and community took the opportunity to return the care and compassion with which Lisa lived. Donations were lovingly made in her memory, and a fundraising dinner was held, affectionately titled ‘For The Love Of Lisa’.

The Neumann family shares this statement about Lisa and her legacy, “In loving memory of our beloved wife and mother, Lisa Neumann, the Neumann family is humbled to announce that, through the power of love and community, we have raised over $35,000 for the Windsor Cancer Foundation. Lisa’s legacy lives on in the warmth of our collective compassion, a beacon of hope for those facing their own battles. With each contribution, we honour her spirit and continue the fight against cancer, with gratitude in our hearts and her love as our guiding light. Together, we forge a path of hope, resilience, and wellness, in the spirit of our cherished Lisa.”

Funds raised will support the Patient Assistance Fund and the RENEW-Life After Cancer program, for local cancer patients in our community. Show your support for Lisa here.

The Patient Assistance Fund provides support to families facing financial hardships due to the loss of income while confronting the challenges of cancer treatments. It is anticipated that almost 600 requests for assistance will be made by local cancer patients in the upcoming year.

The RENEW-Life After Cancer Program empowers cancer patients in remission with healthy living and fitness initiatives. Lisa’s legacy will support this education series, so that it continues to be offered free of cost to cancer patients in our community.

“Lisa Neumann was a shining example of love. Now, her legacy lives on by the support her family has shown for cancer patients in financial crisis, and patients in need of support through remission. Through the generosity of her family and her community, Lisa’s love lives on.” Said Houida Kassem, Executive Director of the Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation.
