Meet Lisa Shulman
Some say it takes real bravery to be so vulnerable during life’s toughest moments and that’s exactly how open Lisa Shulman is.
For Lisa, perseverance is more important than privacy, even after being diagnosed with breast cancer.
Lisa is a true testament to ‘We’re all in this together’, openly sharing real-time details of her diagnosis and treatment to family, friends, and coworkers.
Throughout her experience, Lisa always looked ahead, choosing to focus on the comeback, not the setback.

Listen To Your Intuition
It was April 2023 when Lisa had a feeling something wasn’t right. She began experiencing sharp pains in her breast that she could only describe as “electric-type”. She also experienced a nagging cough and skin changes.
Lisa knew that something was off.
On May 9, after a number of doctor visits and tests, Lisa received her diagnosis; stage 1 breast cancer. Shortly after her diagnosis, Lisa started treatment. She met with Dr. Leibman who preformed a lumpectomy on June 7th. The results of her surgery indicated that the entire 1cm mass was successfully removed, with no sign of lymph node involvement.
Although surgery went well, Lisa was still not out of the woods. She still had to undergo 19 rounds of radiation.
Lisa will continue on hormonal therapy for a total of ten years.
ringing the gong
“Although the treatments are complete, the healing never stops.”
